A 25-year-old black woman has been charged with hate crimes in connection to four separate, unprovoked attacks on people of Asian descent in Queens, New York. Maricia Bell of Queens allegedly attacked three women and a man, including a 63- and 75-year-old, in four separate incidents over the court of several months beginning on May 23, prosecutors said Saturday. According to Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz, Bell was arraigned on a complaint charging her with assault, robbery, and grand larceny, all as hate crimes, as well as weapons possession and harassment charges. “Racism is immoral and unacceptable—acting on one’s prejudice is a crime. This defendant must answer for allegedly attacking four different victims—all people of Asian descent—during sudden, violent outburst(s) of rage here in Queens County,” Katz said in a press release statement. A student in the Sartell-St. Stephen School District just north of St. Cloud, Minn. is speaking out after the school required grade-school children take an "equity" survey. Some students didn't understand some of the survey questions, but were told by a teacher they couldn't repeat the survey questions to their parents, according to a video uploaded by Alphanews. The survey asked questions that some students didn't understand. Even after hearing an explanation from their teacher, some still couldn't comprehend the survey questions. But a teacher told the students they couldn't ask their parents for help, according to Haylee Yasgar, a fourth-grader at the time. "My teacher said that I could not skip any questions even when I didn't understand them," Yasgar said during a school board meeting last week. "One question asked us what gender we identify with. A Chinese firm run by a former officer in the People’s Liberation Army has purchased 130,000 acres of land in Texas which is situated near one of the busiest Air Force pilot training bases in the nation, an analyst said. If this seems like it might be an issue for U.S. national security, read on. Sun Guangxin, who has close ties to the Chinese Communist Party, purchased the land allegedly to build wind farms, Kyle Bass, founder and principal of Hayman Capital Management and a founding member of the Committee on the Present Danger: China, told Epoch TV in a recent interview. The wind farm project, known as the Blue Hills Wind development, is being managed by GH America Energy, the U.S. subsidiary of Sun Guangxin’s Guanghui Energy Company. Billionaire and inventor George Soros recently provided a generous donation to a racial justice organization that supports defunding the police. The Hungarian-born American philanthropist donated $1 million to the Color Of Change PAC on May 14, according to records from the Federal Election Commission . The PAC refers to itself as the 'nation's largest online racial justice organization,' calling for 'divesting from and dismantling the systems that unjustly harm Black people.' Soros routinely backs Democratic congressional candidates and attorneys general, and has made a string of financial contributions toward groups or candidates that advocate for defunding the police.
