Kathy Griffin Announces She Has Lung Cancer
Kathy Griffin revealed she has stage one lung cancer. The comedian revealed her diagnosis to the public via social media on Monday and said she's undergoing surgery to have half her left lung removed.
"I’ve got to tell you guys something. I have cancer. I’m about to go into surgery to have half of my left lung removed," the 60-year-old wrote on Twitter. "Yes, I have lung cancer even though I’ve never smoked!" Griffen explained how the cancer is "contained" and her doctors are "very optimistic" about her recovery.
