Double-jabbed Mom, 37, Dies of Covid... "Worst Case of Covid Doctors Had Seen"
A heartbroken husband whose “warm and loving” wife died from a severe case of coronavirus despite having had both vaccinations has expressed his fury at Covid-sceptics.
Neil Collins's wife Paula was just 37 when she died from what doctors at the Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales, described as “the worst case of Covid they'd seen” since the pandemic started.
He said: "I hear people saying they don't believe in Covid, that it's all a scam and a big joke. "They should come and knock my door to see what me and my family are having to put up with." Paula died on Friday, November 5 after a two-week fight against the virus.
Neil says his wife of seven years first started showing symptoms on October 20. He said her illness was mild to begin with, but that she quickly took a turn for the worse.
He told WalesOnline: "She was double vaccinated and she started getting ill on the Wednesday. It just started with a runny nose and a cough. "Then by the Saturday, she started getting more ill. Her voice started to go." He told WalesOnline: "She was double vaccinated and she started getting ill on the Wednesday. It just started with a runny nose and a cough. An ambulance arrived on Tuesday morning to take Paula to the hospital, where she was put in the intensive care unit (ITU). Neil said: "When they took her into the hospital, the doctor phoned me and said she had the worst case of Covid they'd seen in Prince Charles Hospital since the pandemic started.
"She was put into a coma on the Tuesday afternoon and she was in an induced coma for 11 days.
"At hospital, they did everything they could for her and wanted her to go to London to put her on a new drug, but nothing was working for her”.
